Corum Advises NavisWorks in Acquisition by Autodesk

ZURICH, Switzerland, September 7, 2007 Corum Group Ltd., the global leader in merger and acquisition services to software and information technology companies worldwide, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, NavisWorks, a United Kingdom-based developer of 3D digital designs in the building, plant and marine markets, by Autodesk, Inc., a Calif.-based provider of design software to the manufacturing, building and construction, and media and entertainment markets.

The combination of NavisWorks and Autodesk technology is an excellent match, said Peter Thompson, CEO, NavisWorks. Our products augment the coordinated, consistent and computable information produced by the Revit platform for building information modeling and can aggregate that information with data from other sources, including AutoCAD, Inventor, Civil 3D as well as many non-AutoCAD products, to build the most complete understanding possible of the overall project.

This transaction was a logical evolution of the symbiotic relationship that had developed prior to the deal, added Miro Parizek, managing director, Corum Group International. Now Autodesk can fully integrate the additional visualization tools NavisWorks had developed mostly for Autodesk users.
