A serial entrepreneur at heart, David Walsh has founded, productized, and scaled five successful SaaS and UcaaS companies from inception to exit.
As an accomplished executive, he has been a key contributor in creating record revenue, profit, market share, and shareholder value resulting in successful exits.
David began with Global Capacity, a $300M data networking service company exiting to a publicly traded company in 2006. David co-founded Net Source Communications, which became an award-winning master channel partner and contact center for AT&T/SBC. Following the successful sale of both Net Source and Global Capacity, David created Starview, a UCaaS enterprise that grew into an award-winning software and UcaaS platform. After taking Starview to profitability within two years, he successfully sold two of its three business units and spun out a 3rd. Shango, an API-driven platform that enabled communications service providers to rapidly onboard third-party applications and IoT services and holds eight patents.
As CEO at VoIP Innovations from 2017 to 2019, David led a digital transformation and roll-up strategy, which lead to a successful exit to Sangoma in November of 2019. During his tenure at VoIP Innovations, David also served as the Technical Lead for the City of Austin’s Smart Cities Initiative. He collaborates with developers, accelerators, and entrepreneurs to help bring impactful applications and solutions to market. David also serves as Director on several boards and enjoys mentoring Start-Ups at Capital Factory and Galvanize in Austin, Texas.
