Zurich, Switzerland, May 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Corum Group International, the leading M&A advisory firm for software and related technology companies, today announces that its client, Genohm, has been acquired by Agilent Technologies. Genohm’s software solutions for laboratory management, enhance Agilent’s software portfolio for laboratories.

Genohm is the maker of the SLIMS laboratory software automation suite, a digital platform that provides laboratories with a rapidly deployable and seamless laboratory information management system (LIMS) and electronic lab notebook (ELN) environment. Genohm also has an application marketplace with preconfigured workflows to enable rapid system implementation across a broad range of industries and scientific workflows.

"We were impressed with the team and the technology," said John Sadler, Vice President and General Manager of Agilent's Software and Informatics Division. "The modern architecture of SLIMS is perfectly aligned with the values of Agilent's OpenLab products."

“Corum’s negotiation ‘weight’ and diplomacy skills have added a lot to the process, not only in terms of price, but also in terms of (relative) peace and quiet,” said Genohm Chairman Jan Van den Berghe.

Jon Scott, Managing Director of Corum Group International, spoke about the deal during the May Tech M&A Monthly webcast: “We really enjoyed working with Frederik and his team, and we were impressed with their expertise in the operation of these types of labs. This is a great example of how a small and fast growing software company can provide real value for billion-dollar companies.”
