Last week I had the privilege to speak at Casual Connect San Francisco; providing a market update on recent M&A and fundraising activity in the tech space as well as gaming specifically, and forecasting what trends will be impacting the future. A summary of the largest trend we have been following are the Asian giants like Tencent and DeNA growing up quickly with large revenue increases and chests full of cash. In an effort to continue growing and spreading geographically, they are acquiring companies in the West – mostly in the US, but Europe as well. Out of the top 10 deals reported last year, 8 were done by Asian acquirers coming out of China, Japan and South Korea.
