Major things are afoot in the energy and cleantech software markets. In 2020, the US is projected to challenge Saudi Arabia as the worlds largest petroleum producer. Meanwhile, were seeing significant leaps in smart grid technology, and increasing pressure for innovation from a changing regulatory environment globally. All these trends, and others, are stoking the acquisition fires, driving increased competition among buyers and higher valuations for sellers.

On November 27, 2012 at 1 PM Eastern Time, I will be leading a World Financial Symposiums Market Spotlight webcast to examine the energy and cleantech markets. Ill be joined by Corum analyst Jason Steblay, as well as Andrew J. Roehr, Managing Director, Utilities at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Tom Scaramellino, Senior Vice President of C3 Energy and Founder of Efficiency 2.0. We'll break-down and define the energy and clean-tech market itself and then share our own perspectives on valuation trends, recent transactions, and opportunities for software companies to profit in the current market.

After the panel discussion, the 45-minute webcast will conclude with an opportunity for members from the audience, consisting of international buyers, sellers, investors and analysts, to participate in a moderated Q&A session. I hope you are able to join usregister at wfs.webex.com.
