Im interviewing applicants for a number of positions. So often I hear, They told me my resume should be only one page long. During the interview I try to learn more, including what was left off the resume. More than once, hidden talents have revealed the person suitable for an even better position, a job he had not seen advertised.

I wish I knew these elusive they are so I could tell them I want and need more information - not an autobiography, but a 2-page resume is preferred to a truncated and annotated resume of one page.
