I agree with all of those who predict a huge increase in tablet and smart phone sales. Smart phones have already made their place in the consumer and business world, and this year will probably be the time for the tablets to do the same. As with the smart phone, they'll start with personal use and then the consumer will want to use this same device for business. Needless to say as an IT admin, this is usually a nightmare for us. Trying to maintain a consistent end user experience across multiple devices of different makes and models is extremely challenging.
The way to overcome this is by using the power of virtualization. There is going to be a big push in this space. A lot of businesses will consider a VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) solution for its cost savings design and flexibility. I feel Citrix is the leader in this space right now, so I'd keep an eye on them.
