Some of their advice came out in pre-production calls:

  • The quality of the team is critical. The top consolidators (Google, Facebook, Linkedin) dont want IP. They want IP and the team that created it, so the team can recreate it to their scale and specifications.
  • Corporate culture matters a lot. A balance of arrogance and humility is required to operate within these large companies.
  • Bad customer contracts designed to deliver revenue at huge cost are ultimately deal killers.
