I just returned from a wonderful trip to New Zealand and Australia. Visiting with relatives, I talked at length with one who owns a small software company. While that company is still chugging along, most of his time is now spent in the IT department of a large financial organization. During the process of starting his company, he learned a great deal about IP law, NDAs, lawyers, dealing with boards of directors much of which has proven valuable in his current position. Large or small, and wherever you are, some things don't change.

One disappointment: during my Australian sojourn, I never once heard anyone say Gday, mate!
