Boeing acquires Tapestry Solutions
Tapestry Solutions, a provider of services and software for tracking equipment and spare parts for the U.S. Department of Defense, has been acquired by The Boeing Company. Boeing said that the acquisition will accelerate the growth of the company's service and support business. Tapestry Solutions provides tools for logistics planning, used by the U.S. Army, other parts of the U.S. Department of Defense, and government and non-government agencies. Tapestry Solutions has 350 employees, with the majority located in San Diego, and approximately 150 deployed worldwide, including in Iraq.

Park City Group merges with Prescient Applied Intelligence
Prescient will merge with a newly formed subsidiary of Park City Group, becoming a wholly-owned operating subsidiary. Park City Group is a developer and marketer of patented computer software and consulting services which enable its retail customers to increase sales while reducing inventory and labor costs. Prescient Applied Intelligence is a leading provider of supply chain and advanced commerce solutions for retailers and suppliers. iTradeNetwork and Amphire to merge
iTradeNetwork Inc., a privately held technology provider in supply chain solutions for the food industry, and Amphire Solutions Inc., a privately-held, global provider of supply chain and purchasing solutions to the foodservice, beverage, hospitality and healthcare industries, are merging the two companies. PSI AG acquires 4Production AG
The PSI AG has acquired 100 percent of the shares of 4Production AG, headquartered in Germany. 4Production is a specialized provider of metals supply chain consulting and, with its production management solutions, leading in the aluminum and copper industry. The company has 40 employees and counts many international groups in the steel, aluminum and copper industry amongst its customers. PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,100 people.

JDA Software Group to acquire i2 Technologies
JDA Software Group Inc. is acquiring i2 Technologies, Inc., a global provider of supply chain solutions. The combination of the two companies creates a global leader in the supply chain planning and optimization market. On a pro-forma trailing 12-month basis, the combined company has annual revenues of $635 million, including nearly $300 million of annual maintenance and recurring subscription fees. JDA says the i2 acquisition completes the picture for JDA in the supply chain planning and optimization market. By acquiring i2, JDA doubles its addressable market in manufacturing to include discrete manufacturing, complementing its current market leadership in process manufacturing and strengthening its retail and transportation management presence. After the successful acquisition of Manugistics in 2006, the addition of i2 is comparatively an incremental and logical step for JDA.

Marlin Equity acquires Chelford Group
Marlin Equity Partners, LLC, through its portfolio company Solarsoft Business Systems, announced the take-private acquisition of Chelford Group plc (UK), a leading provider of enterprise and supply chain software solutions to customers throughout the UK and Europe. The acquisition of Chelford Group further expands Solarsoft’s commitment to acquiring leading vertical solutions within the supply chain and ERP markets. The combined business has revenue in excess of $100 million and employs over 450 professionals. Marlin has completed nine software acquisitions since 2005 and continues to actively seek platform and add-on acquisitions.
