Zedi to acquire OAS Oilfield Accounting Service

Zedi Inc. is acquiring OAS Oilfield Accounting Service Ltd. OAS is a Calgary-based private corporation providing chart reading and integration services to the oil and gas industry. The acquisition of OAS strengthens Zedi's position as the Canadian leader in gas measurement. Given the gas industry's current installation base of orifice meters with chart recorders, chart processing is a natural extension to the existing Surveillance and Optimization suite of products and services currently offered by Zedi. The combination of the two organizations will consolidate the gas measurement market and will contribute approximately $5.4 million annually to Zedi's recurring revenue base.

GridPoint Inc. acquires V2Green

GridPoint Inc., a leading clean tech company whose smart grid platform benefits electric utilities, consumers and the environment, announced that it has acquired V2Green, a Seattle company that provides plug-in electric vehicle grid integration technology – including on-board vehicle communication devices – to enable utilities to “smart charge” electric vehicles anywhere within a service territory. This is the first step in GridPoint’s acquisition strategy, which has been fueled by a recent $120 million equity financing. “We have a great deal of synergy with GridPoint including our software-based approach to modernizing the grid,” said John Clark, President and CEO, V2Green.

P2 Energy Solutions acquires Wellcore Software Platform from Decision Dynamics Technology

P2 Energy Solutions, a provider of business software to the oil and gas industry, acquired the Wellcore oil and gas well life-cycle management software platform from Canada-based Decision Dynamics Technology Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, P2 Energy Solutions has assumed ownership of all assets (including all applicable intellectual property) and personnel associated with the development, marketing, sales and support of the Wellcore product. Wellcore is already employed by hundreds of business users within P2 Energy Solutions’ client-base. The acquisition of Wellcore allows P2 Energy Solutions to better meet its current and future customers’ needs by extending its broad footprint of land, production and revenue management, cost management and core accounting functionality to include the full life-cycle management of each well.

NWP Services Corporation acquires ViaStar Energy

NWP Services Corporation acquired ViaStar Energy, Inc., a provider of utility billing and meter installation and maintenance services to multifamily communities, manufactured housing communities, condominiums, and retail properties. ViaStar will add a strong presence for NWP in the Midwest. ViaStar's management, including customer liaisons and technical support, will continue to serve the ViaStar clients. The opportunity to leverage the strength of ViaStar's leadership position in the Indianapolis market and throughout the Midwest makes this an attractive proposition for NWP. GE Energy acquires Kelman Limited

GE Energy has acquired Kelman Limited (Northern Ireland), a provider of advanced monitoring and diagnostics technologies for transformers, enhancing GE’s smart grid product portfolio. GE’s smart grid offerings are designed to help utilities increase productivity and reliability, while also providing consumers with information to better manage their electricity use and expenses. E Source acquires EnergyWindow

E Source has acquired EnergyWindow Inc., a provider of online tools and services that support energy-sourcing decisions and procurement. The addition of EnergyWindow will expand E Source's offerings for corporate energy managers, providing solutions for energy supply management that include technology-based tools and information designed to help large energy users mitigate the cost of the natural gas and electricity required to power their business facilities and manufacturing plants. The business intelligence that E Source experts provide to utilities and large energy users includes predicting and assessing trends and technologies related to energy efficiency, utility customer satisfaction, program design, marketing, customer management, and sustainability. Site Controls acquires Excel Energy Technologies

Site Controls, a provider of enterprise energy management, facilities intelligence and grid efficiency solutions, has acquired assets from fellow energy management applications developer Excel Energy Technologies, including its Ikanosphere energy management solution for retail chains. With the purchase, Site Controls will acquire intellectual property and technology from Excel Energy that will further enhance the capabilities of Site-Command, a proven energy management solution designed specifically for chain retailers, drug stores and branch banking. Vertex acquires Alliance Data's Utility Services Business

Vertex, a global outsourcing firm, acquired Alliance Data Systems Corporation’s Utility Services business. Alliance Data’s Utility Services provides billing systems, professional services and process outsourcing to utilities in the U.S. and Canada. Alliance Data previously announced its intention to sell its Utility Services business to focus on its long-term strategy of delivering loyalty and marketing solutions.
