Over the last ten years Marshall Warwaruk has specialized in helping small, privately held software companies maximize shareholder value though strategic investments, merger, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.  He has represented both buyers and sellers, guiding them through the planning and execution process of deal making.  Marshall has also been a speaker at numerous industry conferences, and has written and published countless articles providing valuable insights into M&A market trends, negotiations and strategic deal making in the IT software and services industry.
 
Prior to joining Corum in 1998, Marshall spent more than nine years as a Vice President of Corporate Development at Sterling Software, and Ontrack Data International where he was responsible for strategic planning, acquisitions and assisting business units achieve their operational goals.  His career in software sales and marketing was launched while at Cognos where he was head of US product sales, opening and establishing the company’s initial product presence throughout the US.  

With more than 30 plus years of experience in the computer software and services industry he has served as the President and CEO of several small software companies overseeing their growth and diversification before they were either acquired or taken public.  Marshall has combined a unique blend of financial, technical, and management experience to support SMB software companies evaluate market opportunities, optimize distribution/sales channels, achieve liquidity, and in the process maximize shareholder value.
