We’ve seen a big pickup in activity in Europe since the beginning of the year, and Cisco continues to lead the trend in picking up small, innovative companies.

Cisco picked up a company we represented, SolveDirect, on March 25. SolveDirect is based out of Vienna, Austria, and they are a cloud services management firm, focused on automating and streamlining data processing. As part of their announcement, Cisco declared that companies need to be able to share data cleanly as the move toward multi-sourcing and cloud services increases.

This acquisition highlights the trend toward smaller businesses with laser-like focus on innovating in one particular area, as well as Cisco’s commitment to continue acquiring companies that fill in gaps in their present offering and technology.
