I recently moderated a panel discussion with four Private Equity executives on during a Corum webcast (see link here). Our guest speakers represented HgCapital, Great Hill Partners, RUBICON Technology Partners, and Chicago Growth Partners. With over $1 trillion in uncommitted funds, there’s obvious pressure to invest and strong interest from the PE firms in looking at deals in the technology space. At Corum, we’ve seen greatly increased activity from financial buyers such as these as they compete with strategic buyers for these deals.  Some of the more active PE firms closed over 20 acquisitions in 2013, many had over 10, and the overall pace has accelerated when compared to 2012. Take a few minutes to visit this link and listen to the comments from our research staff and the Private Equity panelists.
